Flute

I have started learning the instrument flute at the tender age of seven under renowned flautist Vidwan Sri S.A.Shashidhar and continued under same guru for 9 years. For the past 13 years I am being trained by popular vocalist Sangeetha Kalaratna Vidushi Smt.NeelaRamgopal.

At present I am receiving advanced training in the instrument flute under Sangeetha Kalanidhi Padmashree Dr.N.Ramani.

My first preference is to devote more time for learning/listening/practicing carnatic classical music instrument, flute, and perform in highest level in music sabhas and other occasions in front of music lovers.

• I started performing since my tender age of 11 years. Performed in many Sabhas & Public functions in & outside the state. A few noted performances have been listed.
• Scholarship has been awarded by CCRT-New Delhi at the age of ten, continuously for nine years.
• Graded artist for AIR and Doordarshan.
• Best main artist award - 1997-98 in the concert competition conducted by Nadajyothi Sri Thyagarajaswamy Bhajana Sabha and Malleshwaram Sangeeta Sabha in association with Ananya.
• BEST MAIN ARTIST-2000 award from Karnataka Ganakala Parishat.
• 1st place in “On the spot Pallavi competition” conducted by Percussive art centre, Bangalore in 2000.
• “Sharabha Shastri” award-2001 from Sri Krishna Gana Sabha, Chennai.
• Recipient of Scholarship by Dept. of culture, Govt. of India for a period of 2 years (2001 – 2003).
• Toured USA, Canada, Singapore extensively.
• Suswaralaya College of Music has released CD of mine by name ‘Srikrishnamrutham’ during Nov-2005 & Sangeetha Sagara has released CD by name ‘Vaayu meets Bamboo’ during June-2007.
