Even a passing look at him will not be forgotten, as Kannada film industry's star Music director Guru Kiran strikes you with a different look. He looks little fat, but may well be mistaken as a busy actor or a good looking ustad more than a music director who has achieved some big things in life. But wait, Guru Kiran is really an actor. He entered the film industry to be known as a famous actor and had even tried his luck acting in films. He did get a noticeable role in Nishkarsha directed by Sunil Kumar Desai, but good luck was just waiting to hug him. Then came a chance to be a music director in A directed by Upendra. It was a great challenge for Guru Kiran, but he took the challenge in right earnest. Any mistake on his part would have marred the career of Upendra as well his own. Guru Kiran did his best, worked hard spent some sleepless nights to compose some fantastic songs for A. The rest is history.

A created Box office history. The music album created audio history and Guru Kiran had arrived. He has not turned back since then and his growth has been phenomenal. Now, he is also providing music composition for a big budget Telugu film which has Telugu super star Balakrishna in the lead. This Telugu film is directed by P. Vasu who had directed Aaptha Mithra which again reinforced the power of Guru Kiran in the music compostion.

Guru Kiran had some great passion towards music from his childhood days. During the school and college days, he was active in extra-curricular activities. After completion of graduation in commerce from Mangalore University, Guru Kiran started performing in orchestras in and around Mangalore as a singer and a Keyboard Performer.
