Sri Dhananjay Hegde is a young talented Hindustani Classical Vocalist. Dhananjay Hegde is a child prodigy, born in 1978, in a musical family in Gunavante, A small village in Karnataka state. Recingnizing his talent, his parents Sri G.S.hegde and Smt Geeta hedge made no mistake in giving him classical music lessons. Hos mother Smt geeta Hegde was first Guru. Since 1989, Dhananjay has been under the guidance of Pt.Vinayak Tirvi, a great mucis maestro of the country, in Gurukal system. With his dedication to music and quality performance, he has won the hearts of music listeners all over.

  • He has performed at Savai Gandharva Music Festival Kundgol, Mysore Dasara festival.
  • He has toured to USA, Nepal, Bangaladesh with Pt. Vinayak Torvi for vocal support and has given solo concerts in the USA and Thailand.
  • An ‘A’ graded artiste of All India Radio and his programmes have been telecasted on various TV channels
  • Many leading newspaper and magazines have published articles and interviews of Dhananjay.
  • He has been awarded scholarships by HRD Dept, Govt of India, CCRT and various other organizations.
  • He has many laurels to his credit in this field at state and national level including the 2nd place he won in the National Talent Search Competition held at Sangeet Research Academy, Kolkata.
  • He holds “Sangeet Visharad “ degree from Gandharva Mahavidhyalaya, Mumbai
  • A post graduate in Commerce from Bangalore University, he is currently working as an Officer with Karnataka Bank Ltd, Mumbai.
